Game Review: Virginia

After reading a few comments about Virginia and getting an understanding of the premise, I quickly grabbed it off the Microsoft store for $10. All the comparisons to Twin Peaks and X-files that started popping up on Twitter pushed my excitement for this game even higher. Two days after playing it, I’m still trying to figure out exactly how I feel about this experience. (more…)

Game Review: Quantum Break

Sometimes a game comes along and, even before reading any reviews, you just KNOW it’s going to be one for you. Maybe you’re a specific genre junkie or really dig a particular visual style. Maybe you love everything from a particular developer or publisher. Whatever it is, you know it when you see it. and Quantum Break REALLY felt like this to me when I first started reading about it. Quick Hits: Outfolded

I don’t play a lot of mobile games and, when I do, I don’t usually spend a ton of time on them. But every once in awhile one gets its hooks into me and I have a hard time putting it down. I have yet to actually pay for one and I make a point NOT to make in-app purchases – mostly based on principle, but that’s a whole other rant. Since I don’t spend a lot of time playing mobile games, and certainly don’t play all the way through most of them, I didn’t want to dedicate entire reviews to them. But I do still want to shine a little light on the ones that I think are good. Thus Quick Hits.
